We so enjoyed the marriage intensive. Our coaches were so amazing! The other couple were great as well!!! It was, indeed, an intense weekend, but we have been floating on cloud nine since we left. We were saying to each other that we feel like we’ve been fighting a war for the last 20 years while empty handed. Now we feel like we have the proper weapons to fight for our marriage. 😊 We are looking forward to the 15 weeks of follow up sessions.

We had a good experience at the Marriage Intensive. The leaders did a great job with creating an atmosphere of open communication and acceptance, while challenging us in good ways. I think that my spouse gained a lot more awareness of where I am in our relationship and why I have been seeking out counseling. Some of the exercises were very helpful, especially in looking at how we react to each other in conflict. I have become a lot more aware of taking time to listen carefully and make sure my spouse feels heard, not just react to what they say. I was able to identify and forgive more of a root issue during this past weekend, which was a great blessing. And I have a greater sense of freedom from my habit of holding a “record of wrongs.” I look forward to working through the follow-up material and hope to be in touch in the future.
