We had a good experience at the Marriage Intensive. The leaders did a great job with creating an atmosphere of open communication and acceptance, while challenging us in good ways. I think that my spouse gained a lot more awareness of where I am in our relationship and why I have been seeking out counseling. Some of the exercises were very helpful, especially in looking at how we react to each other in conflict. I have become a lot more aware of taking time to listen carefully and make sure my spouse feels heard, not just react to what they say. I was able to identify and forgive more of a root issue during this past weekend, which was a great blessing.
