“I learned so much about myself and about my husband. We both grew up in homes with both parents, however, bad role models on what a marriage is supposed to look like. Our coaches were PERFECT for us-they were gentle souls, their words encouraged me in many ways. The couple we were paired with was perfect for us. We are still in touch with the other couple.
My husband and I started to use our conversational models already and so far, it is successful. I did not get frustrated, yell, and shut down, he did not ignore, yell, and or swept it under the rug. We both stayed present without allowing distractions to come in between us. It felt good to move on after our conversation and not hold on and or feel like it was unresolved.
I am so grateful to have learned and adopted all that I learned this weekend through God’s teaching. Learning about foundation and what God wants us to be like in our marriage was perfect. I was able to walk out of there with my head up and releasing that weight I was carrying on my back.
I would recommend this to anyone, hands down! You definitely need to be receptive and come with an open mind plus a humble heart because it gets intense at times. Everyone there is so respectful, gentle, and professional.”
